River Farm includes a private 100 metre stretch of the non-tidal River Waveney. The ‘close season’ for coarse fish in rivers comes into effect from Monday 15 March and runs until 15 June, so fishing is not allowed during that period to allow fish stocks to replenish. In addition there are a number of other popular angling locations in the area (which may not be subject to the above ‘close season’ restriction):
Tidal Broadland rivers
River Waveney from Geldeston to Breydon Water, including Oulton Dyke and Oulton Broad.
River Yare from Trowse to Breydon Water.
River Wensum from Norwich City Centre to Trowse.
River Chet from Loddon to the River Yare.
